Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! We've had such crazy weather here. For the past few days, we have been in the upper 60's and 70's. This morning, everything is covered in ice, following a winter storm overnight. So, what am I doing? Dreaming of Spring! On Valentine's Day, Dear Hubby accompanied me to two of my favorite shops, Williams-Sonoma and ZGallerie. While we were out, we decided to pop into Restoration Hardware, as well. The courtyard was so serene and beautiful, that we started making plans for Spring! Dear Hubby snapped these pics with his phone as inspiration...
Isn't the courtyard lovely? The ivy covered walls, the mirror, and the water feature were so pretty. I loved the boxwoods and the potted succulents, as well. I think we'll be doing lots of these this year! With the water restrictions in place, we need things that are pretty drought tolerant. They also had several rosemary plants. The scent was awesome!
In another section of the courtyard, was this sitting area. I loved all of the lanterns scattered about.
We are determined to copy the tree decor. I love the lanterns hanging from the branches, with ropes. Can't you just imagine the white lights, on the tree, all lit up at night?
There was also another seating area that featured this amazing light fixture...
I love how beautifully it has weathered...
I'm so excited for Spring!
Have you started making plans for your outdoor areas yet?
Hope you've enjoyed your visit! Have a great day!

Their courtyard does look wonderful! Your back area is wonderful already- but it never hurts to get ideas to tweak on things. I'm definitely dreaming about spring and things I will be doing this year. I've never been to a RH store but I'd love to!
ReplyDeleteShenita what inspiration! And even though you just had an ice storm I am so jealous of your 60 to 70 degree weather as I sit here looking at about 9 inches of snow on the ground. But your post gives me hope for springs early return. Love the laterns hanging from the trees. I remember your courtyard from last year and it was gorgeous. Can't wait to see what you do with it this spring!

Thanks for the inspiration! After the beautiful weather we had last week, I'm ready for spring too! Our jasmine is covered in blooms so my hubby covered it with a dropcloth. Bet the neighbors love that. :)
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL courtyard Shenita...I love the lights wrapped around the tree branches and the hanging lanterns!
ReplyDeletewow...I love that courtyard...I am sure the wheels in your head are turning and you are planning for fabulous Spring decor in your patio, which is may i say beautiful!!!...
ReplyDeleteOf, wow, this is a beautiful courtyard! With ourt weather I could not recreate it but am very anxious to see what you do! If I hung lanterns they would be blowing ll over the place, it is like a windstorm here alot of the time. So much inspiration here though. Love it all!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful courtyard. I am waiting for spring. It has been so blustery and snowy. I have had enough now.

What a retreat! And an place of inspiration. Where is R H located? I gave me granddaughter who is getting married at Prestonwood in May a gift certificate from there. I love their things. I really haven't begun to think about my own small patio yet but will in the next few weeks. Thanks for inspiring us to think ahead.
ReplyDeleteWe too have been having crazy weather. Expecting snow tonight! I cannot wait to get back outdoors. We have a few areas we will be working on this spring as well.
ReplyDeleteI love those outdoor seating areas at Restoration Hardware! I have been giving a little thought to ours this year too. I want a nice fire pit area in our backyard. I loved how RH wrapped lights around the tree and used a chandelier outside.
ReplyDeleteShenita,
ReplyDeleteGorgeous courtyard, dear friend!!!
YES!!! "Mr. Ed" & I are making 2015 Renewal plans for the out of door decor!!!
Drought resistant plants are difficult to find here on the Prairie.
I did find one fern last year that lived though the West side exposure until frost!!!
I'll be searching for more varieties this Season, too!!!
Thank you for this inspiring post!!!
Looking forward to seeing your out of doors space in the Spring!
Fondly,
Pat
Beautiful! I am so ready for spring. My screened porch is a mess right now, but I look forward to warmer weather to get out there and spruce her up!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
Blessings,
Cindy
What beautiful inspiration! Love their courtyard! Dreaming of a nice outdoor space! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, Shenita. :) I absolutely love courtyards. Thanks for sharing these photos, it has given me some ideas for spring. I have one large lantern out next to our outdoor fireplace, but now I want to add more. I can't wait to see what you do, I know it will be spectacular. :) Hurry up spring...

Wow, I would never leave that backyard ever!
ReplyDeleteHow absolutely gorgeous - love courtyards ( so much more than backyards )
ReplyDeleteJust a word of warning - I did a tree last year in fairy lights and the damn squirrels ate through some of the wires so only half lit up LOL
Hugs,
Me
I have always loved courtyards and always wanted one that is why I had to hang lace curtains in my tree around my patio trying to make it more cozy like a small courtyard LOL
ReplyDeleteWhatever you do it will be beautiful i'm sure
How beautiful that looks, Shenita! Just a dream here - that would all be covered in snow and ice here! I have been daydreaming about plants I want to put in this year; what kind of flowers; how I'm going to plant up my urns. I'm not sure if it is helping or making me crave Spring even more!
ReplyDeleteWe love courtyards too. In fact, last year my husband moved a tiered planting wall to accommodate a larger patio area outside of our dining room. We bought a firepit set with 4 chairs.....My husband wanted a swivel chair, so we ended up buying two of those and an end table. We have tiered plantings and a tree like in the picture. He hung Xmas white lights all over that tree. It looks fabulous! We have a fountain just below it. An umbrella to match and two outdoor rugs to complete the look, plus lots of lanterns. Looking forward to seeing what you will create. I have yet to really post our new look.
ReplyDeleteOh, how inspiring! I love those light fixtures, too. That stone holder filled with succulents really drew my eye, too. I know you will have some fantastic things to share!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Patti
