Hi everyone! I hope that you're having a great Fourth of July holiday weekend! This weekend, we are having such pretty, sunny days that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to do a new tablescape in the dining room!
A couple of months ago, I shared some of the things that were inspiring me for Spring/Summer. One of the things that I loved was this set of "Botanical Citrus" salad/dessert plates from Williams-Sonoma...
Sold in sets of four, I promptly made my purchase. I love that each plate is different. This room gets such great light around mid-morning, that I thought it would be fun to set a brunch table for the family...
With all of the bright sunlight, it was such a pretty time to just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. These citrus plates just make me happy! The white dinner plates are "Quadra" from ZGallerie, the wicker chargers are from Cost Plus World Market, and the beverage server is from the "Grape" collection by Arthur Court.
In lieu of a floral arrangement, I just dropped my peace lily into a large urn. It has about 5 blooms on it right now...
The grapes and lemons bring out the colors beautifully...
On the other side of the table, I used oranges and peaches...
The coordinating napkins are also from Williams-Sonoma; and the sunburst napkin rings are from ZGallerie. The fleur de lis salt and pepper shakers were part of a recent gift bag from Dear Hubby.
There is just something so refreshing about citrus colors in the Summer! They are so bright and cheery!
Happy Decorating and Have A Great Day!

ReplyDeleteYou seriously could not have picked better accessories to go with those beautiful plates, Shenita. Everything is just beautiful! The Z Gallerie plates are to die for a hundred times over!!!!! I haven't been in there in several months (trying to be a good girl!), and I have absolutely no idea what's out there. No matter how you tempt me here, I'm going to resist......NOT!!! :-)

Beautiful! I love it!
I absolutely had to click when I saw your title and got a real smile out of your post. You see, it turns out I did a similarly titled post for my Father's Day setting with the very same plates! It's so delightful and fascinating to see how others merchandise similar items. Your table came out wonderful! I love your curvy white dinner plates and your salt and pepper shakers. I, too, used fruit to enhance my table. It's not the post I've entered this week, but you can see it here: http://designthusiasm.com/the-fruits-of-fathers-day/
