Today, I just wanted to share one of my latest thrift finds. It will be a new addition to the patio. While perusing the goodies at the Goodwill thrift store, we stumbled upon this awesome resin planter. I loved the mottled coloration and the wonderful laurel leaf embellishment. I've seen these at garden centers with a retail price of $30-$40. I only paid...$4.99!!
Well, I decided not to use it as a planter...that's to be expected, right? LOL! While flipping through my Pottery Barn catalogs, my inspiration struck me! I've decided that I want to use it as a beverage cooler!!
My youngest daughter will be graduating from high school in June; and we will be entertaining lots of family and friends. What a cute way to serve beverages out on the patio!! The beauty is that as the ice melts, the water will drain right out into the flower bed!! Talk about multi-tasking!! LOL! So, don't overlook thrift stores for great garden finds; and you may even come up with new uses for old standards!
Well, that's it for today. I'm still tinkering outside and will have lots of pictures to come! Hope you're having an awesome day!!

Great find - wish I had a thrift store that had things like that - We don't even have a GW store anywhere near us. The "Thrift Stores" that we do have are for profit - so the deals are not that great and the merchandise is not the best either - the people buy their merchadise at auctions and garage sales and then mark up the price. Not exactly the place to go to get a good deal I'm afraid. Oh well! I'll just live throught all my blogging friends (and be a little jealous!)
ReplyDeleteHugs -
Carol
