Every year, around this time, I get a little itch to start some Fall decorating. However, it's really hard to get in the mood, when the temp is still in the triple digits! Dear Hubby went out to gather some of the veggies from the garden; and it immediately made me think of Fall harvests! The veggies were so pretty that I wanted to create a simple little vignette, on the coffee table.

I placed a lantern in the center of a tray...
Then, I went out back and snipped some fresh greenery to use as a backdrop...
I added a couple of mercury glass votives...
And, my simple little vignette was done!
As Fall approaches, I can simply let the greenery dry out and mix in my Fall accents...pinecones, pumpkins, etc.
Easy, peasy!
Are you getting ready for Fall?
Thanks, so much, for stopping by today!

Beautiful Shenita! I love your lantern as well. I am waiting a bit longer, as we will be hosting my fellow Bible study children's team for an ice cream social in a couple weeks. Right now I am just getting back into a routine after dropping baby girl back off at school.
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely Shenita. I am burning fall candles and then going out to float in the pool. I'm definitely between seasons right now. We just have to "do" fall, as our weather seldom cooperates!
ReplyDeleteFabulous, Shenita! I love the rich pops of color from your harvest ... adding in the ambiance of the candlelight is the icing on the cake! I know you're itching to splash Fall all around your beautiful home! I started yesterday ... just couldn't help it!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! There's nothing better than natural things. I'm not getting ready for fall exactly. I've bought a couple of things but darn it's hot! This is that strange in between we have here in this state when it should be fall but nobody told Mother Nature. Also, I don't really want this pretty summer to go away just yet. It's beautiful in my yard now and the bounty from your garden looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Shenita, and such a great idea! I'm looking forward to fall too.
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely and is such a perfect centerpiece for this time of year, late summer and not quite fall. The veggies really do make one think of harvest and yet the greenery adds a summer feel. Love that lantern too!
ReplyDeleteDD
Love your pictures, Shenita! I love the lantern and the fresh veggies, grapes and artichokes mixed in. Your pictures and vignettes are always so classy and elegant looking. You have such an eye, not only for decorating, but photography, too! So much talent....
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you come up with for Fall....xo, Liz
Inspiration is a lovely, colorful and bountiful thing, and as I always say, it is everywhere. The temps do not speak to fall, but those of us who love this time of year have an ear to the ground and an eye out for rich color, tone and pattern. I've been known to turn the A/C to arctic blast to get that fall feeling. We Southerners know we've got a few more months to go until the temps cooperate with the calendar. Your summer into fall anticipation coffee table is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for fall and I can't wait to see all of your fall decorations!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, and I'm almost ready to start sharing! And, yes, we are still in triple digits, but I just could not wait any longer! Your coffee table vignette is so pretty Shenita. I'll bet your hubby thought he was going to be eating those veggies he picked....lol!
ReplyDeleteShenita I LOVE that lantern and the veggies look so good too!! Nothing beats fresh veggies!
ReplyDeleteWow, Your garden veggies look so healthy and pretty. Great idea to create a vignette with them. You have a pretty home.
ReplyDeleteSuch an inviting vignette, Shenita. The bright veggies with the soft candle glow us beautiful. Jane
ReplyDeleteShenita,
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing fresh veggies in your tablescape, dear friend!!!
Soon, candlelight will be a daily event!
As the temperatures cool. . .Autumn is on my mind!!!
Thank you for the inspiration!
Fondly,
Pat
I know this sounds silly but I have never thought of using veggies in a vignette! You certainly did a great job of it! I would expect nothing less from you!
ReplyDeleteEasy peasy but BEAUTIFUL! I am antsy to decorate too!!!! You have another advantage to this vignette: now you can eat all that deliciousness!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing in amazement, because at this very moment, my kitchen island looks very similar, down to the three big pods of okra! My Dad and the Piggly Wiggly grew my veggie harvest. All I have left this time of year is a jalapeño pepper plant.
ReplyDeletePretty photos!
Love it! You have me wanting to crawl up in the attic and start pulling fall decor out, but I am afraid I would pass out from the heat.....but I will get it done. Have a wonderful day, Shenita!
ReplyDeletesoooooooooooo pretty and I sure wish I has some of those veggies. they look luchious
ReplyDeleteCan't get into Fall yet but I'm sure enjoying your beautiful efforts! LOL! You must have a spectacular garden!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Shenita! I haven't done anything for fall yet, my house is just too dusty.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
What a bountiful harvest! Love the fresh fruit and veggies, this is edible art! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Patti
So funny because I just posted about trying to hold onto summer! I put out three pumpkins and that is all but I do have pumpkins growing in the garden. We have just had rain all August and no swimming, no picnics, no end of summer fun. It has killed me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! Love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful harvest and vignette! Can't wait for Fall and cooler weather. Enjoy your weekend! Maria
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful Shenita!....yes, getting ready for Fall !!!....but for now, just getting ready for a house full of company for the Holiday weekend....I can't wait for September....for more reasons than one!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe've been in the triple digits too...ugh. Fall can't come soon enough to Texas! :) Love your pretty vignette with your bounty of vegetables! Your mercury glass votive candles are so pretty too!
ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same way, Shenita! For some reason I am feeling the itch to decorate, but I never can because it is still so hot and humid right now. I am usually okay to wait until mid September.
ReplyDeleteFall is a lovely time of year to enjoy and decorate. It's so warm and cozy. Love your pretty vignette, you have a way with displaying items. I haven't started decorating for Fall yet. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like the bright, beautiful colors of fresh vegetables from the garden - love how you incorporated yours into such a pretty vignette! Thanks for linking up to Best of the Nest!
ReplyDeleteI can't get into fall decorating quite yet either but your have made a wonderful transition vignette; one I can use in my kitchen in fact. We have the same produce but no okra for us. From Feathered Nest Friday. Have a good Labor Day! Linda
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! It is the perfect way to transition to fall. I know what you mean~I am so looking forward to it also!
ReplyDeleteI would love if you would share at my blog party, Celebrate It! It's where we celebrate the joys of everyday life!

Hope to see you there!
Your tablescape is lovely! Even with the high temperatures, the fall decor is out everywhere, and I'm getting eager to decorate too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at Wake Up Wednesday!
You always decorate with such style and beauty Shenita, specially a tablescape as lovely as this.
ReplyDeleteI hope your weather is cooling off a little, there.
I just did changing and tweaking this weekend, but no Fall exactly. I will next month, for sure! Gorgeous Shenita!
Have a blessed week, my friend.
FABBY
It appears your garden produced a healthy harvest. The vegetables are so pretty, I do not blame you for wanting to display them in a vignette.
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful colors of the vegetables play so well with your tablescape. Gorgeous. Thank you for sharing at Share It One More Time. Cathy
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Shenita! Thank you for joining HSH!
ReplyDeleteI love your big lanterns and all the fresh veggies! So colorful!
ReplyDeleteHi, Shenita! This is certainly the way to make lemonade out of lemons! That triple digit heat you speak of...we had it up until a few days ago, and it felt nothing like fall around here!!! In fact, I was wondering why on earth they closed the pools after Labor Day because it was still VERY much like summer!!!!! We're enjoying cooler temps right now, but the upper 80s are expected to return mid-week. Sigh! :-( To create a veggie feast for the eyes is a great idea, especially since parts of it can dry and transition so easily! I have to admit, though, those green tomatoes would be rollin' in some cornmeal around here! :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope the heat lets up for you soon. Have a wonderful week!
