~Merry Christmas and Our Christmas Tree 2013~

Well, Christmas is upon us, once again! We are very late in getting our decor up this year; but, we are enjoying what's left of the season. Today, I am sharing a couple of shots of our Christmas tree.

After going with lots of bling in Christmases past, I decided to keep things simple this year. I wanted to go back to the traditional red, green and gold. For some reason, I was feeling a bit nostalgic this year. Usually, I do lots of florals and picks and 'fluff' on top; but this year, I chose to go with a beautiful angel. The traditional colors work well with our home; and we are enjoying the change.

I went through my stash of ornaments and pulled everything that was red, green, and gold. I also used the same fleur de lis and poinsettia ornaments from last year.

From our home to yours, we wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!!

~The Christmas Mantel 2013~

Hello everyone! We finally made it home; and we are in the midst of adding a little Christmas cheer to our home. Better late, than never, huh? We just finished our mantel, tree, and banister tonight. I snapped a couple of quick pics of the mantel to share with you.

This year, I am going with traditional red and green throughout my home. The mantel is very simple. I usually spread my Santas around the house. This year, I decided to use them on the mantel and the hearth.

The stockings are new this year. We needed larger stockings to hold all of our stocking stuffers. I found these at Tuesday Morning, back in the early Fall. I had seen them in another store for about $50 each. I got them for $14.99!

The lanterns remain on the mantel all year, and have battery operated candles, on a remote control. We like to enjoy the flicker each evening.

I hope to have photos of the tree tomorrow!

Hope you're all enjoying the season!
