~Woodland Fall Breakfast Table~

This year, I am slowly getting my home decorated for Fall.  Being a new empty-nester, I am enjoying the slower pace of being able to take my time, and really enjoy the process. In previous posts, I've shown you my mantel and coffee table. Today, I am sharing my "Woodland Fall" breakfast table". 

I enjoy the deep, rich tones of our kitchen; and they translate well for the warm, cozy feel of the season.

Layers of natural and faux foliage create a "bridge" between the two lanterns...I purchased these several years ago at ZGallerie.

Since there are only two of us at home now, Dear Hubby and I only use one side of the table...so, the display is not a conversation barrier!

My inspiration came from this display at Williams-Sonoma.

I love the beauty of the white dishes, with the rattan chargers; but, it was the pumpkin dinnerware that stole my heart! That mix, along with the stainless and copper cookware was just stunning. I love a mix of elements in the kitchen.

Pottery Barn...

So, I merged elements of the two...

The table is set with the "Botanical Pumpkin" plates from 
Williams-Sonoma. 

I saw them in the display above; and it was love at first sight! 

Each setting began with these rattan chargers, which were a previous purchase from 
Cost Plus World Market.

The chargers were layered with white dinner plates from
 Mikasa.

Then, the "Botanical Pumpkin" salad plates were added.

I purchased the dinner napkins, in the "Botanical Pumpkin" pattern, as well. 

The napkin rings were a thrift find. I bought a bag of 8, for 99¢...they were brass; and I simply gave them a coat of Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze. Now they are perfect for Fall!

A vintage copper ice bucket serves as a vase for the flowers and foliage. Various pumpkins, leaves, and gourds provide seasonal color. I'm doing a lot with copper in the kitchen this season, so this works perfectly.

The flicker of candlelight in the lanterns adds ambience; and they are topped with little fall accents.

To the right of the breakfast table, in a small space between the office doors and the pantry, I added a kitchen towel, also, in the "Botanical Pumpkin" pattern. The towel serves as a base for the wooden pizza peel, that was a thrift find, last week. I added some raffia and a few fall leaves for texture.

I hope to find some small white pumpkins to add to the table soon, as a final touch. Pumpkins are just starting to show up here; and I have not seen the white ones at all.
