~A Late Summer Tablescape~ and The Shabby Apple Giveaway Winner!

Happy Monday, Everyone!! As we approach the final weeks of summer, I realized that I hadn't done a tablescape in quite some time. I thought today would be the perfect time to have a little fun and play with my new dishes!

While out shopping the other day, I stopped in one of my favorite stores, Cost Plus World Market. Many of their tabletop items are currently on sale. I have had my eye on these rattan chargers and knew that it was the perfect time to purchase! These will work beautifully on my tables in the months to come. I also wanted to do a mix of patterns in the dinnerware.

I layered it with a basic white dinner plate. I love the swirls in the border of this one from Mikasa...

On top of this one, I layered a rustic, scalloped edge plate in a creamy yellow...

I love the rusty distressing in the details.

Next, I layered a plate that I also found at World Market. I think this one really picks up the tones that are going to carry me into Fall.  In case you don't remember, I brought the blues into my
Fall mantel decor.

I love the blues, greens, reds, and golds together!!
There are so many different ways I can use these for Fall.

The dinnerware layers beautifully...

For a simple centerpiece, I filled a bronze bowl with red and green artichokes...

The colors pick up the tones of the dinnerware...

I added a mix of gold water goblets, green wine stems, and crystal flutes...

I love a mix of elements on a table!!

A simple artichoke tops each placesetting.

Crystal votive holders add sparkle...

Large candlesticks anchor the table at each end.

And that's my tablescape for this week!

On a different note, the winner of the
Shabby Apple $50 Gift Card is...

DRUM ROLL, PLEASE...

  21. I love the dishes at World Market and have to hold myself back because there is only so much space in the house to store them. I've seen bird plates before and have admired them many times in the store. They look perfect with the jewel tones in your home.

I forgot to tell you, but your magazine was mailed on Saturday, so you should probably be getting it in the next day or two.

  37. Hooray! Great to see you back with another wonderful tablescape! I love the dishes!!! I have seen those from World Market here. I remember liking them so much because the bird looks so happy and carefree! Maybe I need to pop in there to see if there are any left on the sale rack! I've been trying very hard to avoid shopping for new things when there is so much stuff that I already have that hasn't been used. It's tough, though...especially this time of year when so much is going on clearance!!! For those round rattan chargers, though, I might have to break my own rule! I like the way you picked up the colors of the dinner plate with your other table elements. The artichokes are a GREAT touch!!!

I'm running quite late in linking up and checking out the wonderful blogs posted there, but I just had to write and say that I LOVE your tableware! The colorful top plate is so pretty!
