Christmas 2011 Holiday Dining

Today, I am sharing one of my holiday dining tables. This is probably one of three variations that I will do.  I'm thinking the one for Christmas will actually be all ivory and gold, with lots of layers.  For this version, I wanted to tie in all of the Tuscan greens and reds, with a little 'bling' from the crystal. For some additional sparkle, I topped the china cabinet with a big, lush garland, with chocolate, red, and copper ornaments.

I love these dessert plates that I got at Macy's several years ago.  They each feature a different ornament, in my signature colors.

I love the sparkle of all of the crystal  on the table...

On the top shelf of the china cabinet is a porcelain nativity scene that I have had for years.  I added the cross to it this year.

Since the colors were perfect, I used my everyday centerpiece and just added holiday picks...

I also added a wreath to the mirror, as well...

On a side table, I simply added one of my collectible Santas...

I've lit the candles; and we're ready for our first dinner of the season!

Thanks for visiting today!! Happy Decorating!!

  33. Hi there, Shenita! I am SO late getting around to all the blog posts from this past week! I have been knee-deep in trying to get a little decorating done around the house in preparation for this past weekend's parties and just to have something up that made it actually look like Christmas around here. I have NOT been in the mood this year. I'm sitting here now listening to Michael McDonald and Bon Jovi instead of Christmas music...what's up with that? Anyhoooooo....I, like many others who commented, am over the moon with those salad plates! I love to see traditional elements presented in a contemporary way. Fabulous table!
