This Week's Finds...

Ok, admittedly, I am an accessories junky!! LOL!! I rarely go into any home decor shop and come out empty-handed. The beauty of that obsession is that I can rotate things from room to room, and get an entirely different look.  I love that!

During my Hobby Lobby run this week, I found some great 50% off items. I felt like a kid in a candy store...it seems that everything is on sale!!

I got these cute little plates for a small wall, in the pass-thru, from the kitchen to the dining room. I love the scroll detail that they have.

(I think this plate rack and I will have a date with a can of black spray paint this afternoon.)

Next,  I saw this great metal crown, with the fleur de lis top. I thought it would be a great place to sit one of my Lampe Berger fragrance lamps.  This is going on the center island in the kitchen.

I also found this plate, with it's built-in iron stand. I'm not sure where it's going...but, I HAD to get it!

I thought this harlequin patterned jar was really pretty. The fleur de lis top sold it for me!

I grabbed a bag of fall accents...acorns, leaves, etc. to fill it; and created this vignette for one of my end tables:

(I already had the candle ring from Hobby Lobby, from a previous 50% off sale.)

While I was tinkering with this vignette,  I decided to add a little fall to my coffee table. I scrunched up a throw that I had previously purchased at Hemispheres (Hobby Lobby's big sister), during one of their 40% off sales:

I just added a few pumpkins to my bowl of decorative balls, and draped a leafy garland around it. Then, I dangled some grapes from the urn, on the corner of the table.

Now, on to Kirkland's. I found these cute little tasseled lampshades on a clearance shelf...for $2.00! The pattern consists of tiny little squares; but, it reminded me of leopard print.

I bought six of them for my dining room chandelier:

Then, for a couple of those, "Why Not?" purchases...you know, the ones that are impulsive, that you just couldn't resist???

(Hint: These could be a cute little Christmas gift!)
Kirkand's had these cute little monogrammed coasters for $4.00; and I got this cute little plaque for my kitchen, from one of my favorite home decor shops:

Well, that's it for today! It's a good week for bargains!!
Happy Decorating!!!

  8. You did have some finds this week, didn't ya? I bet hobby lobby loves you! I am from a really rural area, and have never heard of Hemispheres. I meant to google it the other day when you mentioned it. My nearest hobby lobby is 60 miles away! I need to post some of my finds this week. I hit numerous yard sales, and got some great stuff. Have a great one Shenita.

  44. Hi Shenita...

My friend, you made off like a "bandit" in the accessory department this week! I love each and every item that you bought! I would have picked the same things! We have such similar taste! Hehe! Love your new plates and I agree...I think that the pretty plate rack would look great painted black. It would really make those pretty plates "pop"! Ohhh...and my favorite...is that gorgeous crown with the fleur de lis! Girlfriend, I love how you decorated it with the little lamp and those fabulous pheasant feathers! Soooo pretty!

I sure did enjoy getting to see all of your new pretties and the new vignettes that you created with them! You have such a "gifted eye" for design, sweet friend! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and new treasure finds with us!

    Warmest autumn wishes,
    Chari

PS...I think I told you that Hobby Lobby is my favorite place to shop, but the closest store is a two hour drive for me...shoot! I love getting in on their sales and never pay full price for anything. I have never heard of Hemispheres. So that is a sister store of Hobby Lobby? Wow...I need to find one! Hehe!
